Liquids
The solutions practices we have listed above were once cutting edge and are now part of our everyday offerings. To continue to lead the way in the snow management business, the LFX Snow Patrol team is always reaching for new ideas and technological advances. That is how are were able to move from salt to brine. We have elevated our innovation offerings to better serve you, protect the environment and stay ahead of our competitors. Our liquid brine allows us better control over ice and provides you with safer and cleaner winter months. Find why using liquid brine is the best solution for you and your business:
Why use Liquid Ice Control?
Better for the environment
You can feel at ease knowing that you’re doing your part for the environment.
Proven to be better for the environment, liquid brine uses 75% fewer chlorides and less contaminant to groundwater
No mess
Milder but as effective properties, liquid brine protects your property by tracking less salt indoors, causing fewer salt burn on plants/turf, and overall less corrosion to paving.
Lower temperature efficacy
Our liquid formula works up to -34 degrees Celsius, compared to rock salt that is only effective up to -13 degrees Celsius.
Safer during snow storms
Timely pre-treatment ensures safety during a storm and helps create a cleaner push of the snow
Material accuracy
Material accuracy is easy to track due to flow meter and application technology; you know exactly how much material was applied to your property
What will this mean for you?
It looks and feels different than salt. Clients are used to the sound of salt crunching under their feet and tires. We are used to visibly seeing salt as a sign of safety. Truth be told, this is a sign of overuse, which causes facility and environmental damage.
The answer is rarely that we need more salt. However, this is something that we often hear. The answer is common that the product needs more time to work.
How does Liquid De-icing work?
The active ingredient in our liquid product is Sodium Chloride – salt. For dry salt to work it needs to mix with water and dilute and spread. By using our product, we are skipping the first step and therefore speeding up the process. By adding other chemicals to our mixture, we further reduce the freezing point that makes our product effective to -34 degrees Celsius.
